What: 10 Takes Back Medication Collection Event – Properly dispose of your expired, unused, unwanted medicines.

Why: Proper medicine disposal practices prevent misuse and protect the environment. Medicine that is flushed down the toilet can end up in our water supply. Accidental fatal drug overdoses have increased 500% since 1990 and federal officials say painkillers are primarily to blame. If you do not dispose of unused medicine properly, it can fall into the wrong hands. It it not uncommon for burglars to break into a home to steal drugs. Join the movement and say “I AM ONE who will be proactive against substance misuse” by disposing of your medicine properly!
