Kayla Simon, MPH
Executive Director
As the Executive Director for ASAP of Anderson, Kayla Simon is responsible for advocating with local and state policymakers for laws promoting harm reduction and substance use prevention. Additionally, she oversees the day-to-day management of operations and strategic planning and initiative implementation of the community coalition.
Kayla holds a Masters of Public Health from the University of Tennessee with a certification in Healthcare Policy and Management from the Graduate School of Nursing. From her childhood in Greenback and through past employment with the Tennessee State Health Department and other local nonprofits, Kayla has seen the impact of substance use on communities throughout East Tennessee. She is dedicated to searching for holistic means of addressing the complex issues which drive substance use in communities. She envisions forging strong community partnerships with local governments, courts, nonprofits, and law enforcement to address these underlying concerns and improve the lives of all citizens in Anderson County.
