Regional Overdose Prevention Specialist (ROPS)
As the Regional Overdose Prevention Specialist for ASAP of Anderson, Catherine is responsible for providing regional trainings to medical professionals, law enforcement, first responders and lay persons on best practices for opioid prescribing, screening for substance use disorder, overdose prevention, harm reduction and administration and distribution of FREE naloxone (Narcan) and referrals to treatment programs. She serves the following counties: Morgan, Roane, Anderson, Union, Grainger, Campbell, Claiborne and Scott Counties.
Catherine holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has worked with coalitions in prevention for twenty years and she is also certified in QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) and evidence-based suicide prevention curriculum.
