PWH_Vector_Logo wASAP copyAllies for Substance Abuse Prevention (ASAP) of Anderson County will sponsor the PWH media campaign at Clinton High School for the CHS vs ACHS football game on August 23, 2013. T-shirts will be shot into the crowd with a cannon throughout the evening and materials will be distributed to parents upon entry.

ASAP sponsors a media campaign multiple times each year to raise awareness of Tennessee’s Social Host Liability Law. The Social Host Law holds adults accountable for providing alcohol to minors or knowingly enabling underage drinking. Adults found guilty of breaking this law can be prosecuted and face up to 11 months, 29 days in jail, a $2,500 fine and loss of driving privileges.

Adults providing alcohol to underage youth send a mixed message and can only add to a teenager’s confusion about the acceptability of drinking. ASAP invites you to help spread the important message “Parents Who Host Lose the Most:  Don’t be a Party to Teenage Drinking”.
