Press Release, Clinton, TN, August 2018 — ASAP of Anderson is thrilled to be celebrating 10 Years of Prevention this September. ASAP’s mission is to prevent and reduce substance misuse among youth and adults in Anderson County. Join us for a 10th Anniversary Celebration and logo reveal on Tuesday, September 4th 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Anderson County Chamber of Commerce. In addition to the logo reveal, there will be light lunch, cake, and take away “swag” for attendees.

ASAP is proud to have our volunteers serve over 11,000 hours toward prevention since 2008. In 10 years, Anderson County has seen an overall reduction of 53.5% in youth prevalence of substance use, including 57.4% reduction in alcohol use, 54.3% reduction in tobacco use, 39.8% reduction in marijuana use, and 64.3% reduction in prescription medication use. This has been the work of numerous dedicated volunteers, partners, and the whole Anderson County community.

ASAP has continued to grow and change over the past 10 years. As part of that growth, we are excited to reveal our brand-new logo in celebration of our 10th anniversary. ASAP’s image is changing, but our mission stays the same. We continue to value compassion, knowledge, connectedness, progress, and proactivity in order to make strides toward preventing and reducing substance misuse in our community.
